Bye-bye, Bu-A-ya!

I don't know what I should be doing
Satu Tahun Empat Bulan
It has been almost one year and four months since I first posted an entry on this blog. Before blogging on this blog, I used to blog at another blog. My reason for changing the blog was because I had become a very different person (compared to myself when I wrote my first blog). I wanted a fresh start, so I made a new blog.
Today I changed my blog again, and the reason why I changed my blog was because Blogger has become out of date. Blogger went through several changes which I don't like, such as requiring us to convert our Blogger.com account to Google account. Anyway, blogger also offers less privacy options compared to wordpress. So there I move, www.chronocapsule.wordpress.com
When should I celebrate my birthday?
oH, Yeah! My birthday is on 15 October, so I intentionally made this entry before it turns 15 October 2007. It's kind of confusing to me because I'm in Melbourne and the time is 3 hours earlier than in Jakarta. So when it is 00.00 15 October 2007 in Melbourne (Australian Eastern Time), it is still 21.00 14 October 2007 in Jakarta (Western Indonesian Time).
More interestingly, I know that I was born at 22.10 Western Indonesian Time 15 October 1987. Should I celebrate my birthday on that hour? Hahahha... how complicated.
Anyway, see you at www.chronocapsule.wordpress.com. Cyao!

Lazy September

Lazy, Lazy, Cozy
Hi! September is almost over so I force myself to update this blog. Just in case you don't remember, I do post regularly, I mean monthly, because... I don't wanna miss a month on the archive list! Hahhaha!
I'm so lazy despite of the vast amout of time I had. YeP! I'm having a two-week midterm break. And today is the last day of my midterm break.
Midterm Break
So how did I spend my midterm break? I would say that I really enjoyed the last two weeks. I spend a lot of time with my friends shopping, watching movie, dining, played at casino etc. I also had the time to take care of myself really well. I had my hair cut, cooked vegetables, made jellies, exercised at gym and also did some studying.
Well, about the studying, it didn't go as well as I expected. Prior to the midterm break, I promised myself I would read and study ALL of the materials available. It turned out that I only had studied one out of four subjects I took, and I haven't finished studying that one either.
I have to admit, the most time-wasting, (ummm... I don't think it is really wasted), let's say time-consuming activity I had during the midterm break would be... SURFING THE INTERNET! hahaha! God bless the internet connection in Australia! I spend so many hours surfing Wikipedia, blogs, Yahoo!news, Friendster, YouTube, DeviantArt, and don't forget Facebook. YeP! It is a social networking site, just like Friendster, but with much more fun, and privacy.
Two Weeks to Twenty
Gosh! I'm going to be twenty years old in just like two more weeks plus one or two days. I've been age-conscious since I reached eighteen years old. I'm very affraid of becoming an adult and then failing to reach my childhood dream of success.
Anyway, speaking of my coming birthday, I will move this blog to Wordpress.com on the birthday. I will announce the new link on the day. So, stay tuned! ^_^

Colorful August

Happy 62nd anniversary, Dear Republic of Indonesia!
This month is the merri-est month since I arrived here. Not only the weather is turning warmer (YeP! I can already sense the smell of Spring!), there are also very many events happening in August. What a perfect excuse for not publishing any entry until date 27. LoL!
I hope you still visit this blog, though I may be too busy to visit yours. Yeah! I'm still settling down and trying to find the fit "Rhythm of Life". Anyway, there's so much to tell and I just can't wait to start. So... Let the story begin!
More, and More and MORE INDONESIAN FRIENDS
I was verrry wrong when I said there were not too many Indonesians in Mel-U. Well, it is partly true coz, there are not as many as there are in Monash or RMIT. But there's quite a lot of them, and I'm beginning to know more and more of them.
Maybe I should describe my Indonesian network in Mel-U first.
I entered Mel-U as a 2nd year student with my other 4 friends from FEUI, they are Tracy, Kania, Gede, and Nana. Then, during the orientation, we met other new Indonesians like us. Tata is a new 2nd year from UGM, while Netty, Evy, and Christianus are from Singapore (They are Indonesians). For a while, those are the only Indonesians I knew in Ecom (Economics and Commerce) Mel-U.
We then had our lectures and tutorials. And we made friends with people from China, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand etc. In case you haven't known, there are SO MANY students from People's Republic of China!!! Maybe, they are like 50-70% of the total foreign students here. And the other foreign students are usually overseas-born-chinese like me, from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Mauritius, Hongkong and Thailand. So many chinese...
Then someday, I met this Indonesian Felix during a PASS (peer assistance something-something) for Intermediate Financial Accounting course. He later introduced us to Christopher and somebody-I-forgot-who. Christopher then invited us to attend Sunday Service at Bethany Church. He then introduced us to mannnnyyy-more-Indonesians-I-can't-remember-except-Michael. Yep! Michael turned out to be Nana and Kania's classmate.
So far I'm so happy coz I do not feel too lonely anymore. Instead, I feel too busy to hang around with all of them. HAhahah! Anyway, there's plenty of time to get knowing each other, so there's no need to rush.
Another source of network came from PPIA (Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia Australia). At first, we became member during orientation. Tracy even proposed to be an executive of PPIA Mel-U, but she withdrew proposal later.
Then on 17th of August (Our Republic of Indonesia's independence day anniversary), PPIA, branch (cabang) Victoria, twig (ranting) the University of Melbourne held a BBQ gathering on Mel-U's sports field. I, Gede and Nana took a quiz "How well do you know Indonesia". The quiz sheet were collected and the winner would then be contacted. And guess what! I won the quiz! YaY!
PPIA Mel-U are also going to open an Indonesian food stall in "Festival of Nations" starting tommorow, so Tracy, Kania and I offered to help. The next day, Chicha (a PPIA Mel-U executive), asked me to help Dianto and Riando buying ingredients. Then we went to Laguna (an asian grocery at QV) and bought many red-cane sugar, flour, eggs etc. The total weight of our purchases were like around 12Kg(s). So that's why she asked for a boy's help. LoL!
We then carried them to Chicha's home. At there, we tried some experimental meatballs made by Chicha. hehehehe... We also experimented ways and recipes to make Strawberry juice again-again-and-again coz we enjoyed it so much. hehehhe... Poor Chicha. She was the only one who was worried there would be no enough strawberries for the event should we keep on experimenting the juices. Hahahah! It was very fun! I'm going to help them again.
Events
KafeArt 2007

On 16th of August, PPIA, branch (cabang) Victoria, twig (ranting) Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology held KafeArt 2007. There were bands, dramas, fashion, photography and crafts exhibition. I also met Xandra and Rudy there. Oh! Yeah! Tracy was very lucky. She won a doorprize and it was sort of the latest model of Nokia! Very cooL!
BTW, about the little flag in the first picture. I got it from this event. So happy! ^_^
Soundsekerta 2007 with EMPAT MATA

Just last night. Yeah! I'm typing this entry right now at 3.38 AM. I just got home from Soundsekerta. Hehehhe...
On 26th of August, PPIA, branch (cabang) Victoria, twig (ranting) Monash University held Soundsekerta 2007 featuring EMPAT MATA (One of the most popular TV show in Indonesia). It was held in Australian National Theatre at St. Kilda. The place was nice. Every guest had a seat, so the high price ($33) worthed it. The event was so cool. Basically, the show can be described as the following:
- Opening act, Saman Dance (Aceh's traditional dance)
- Trio singers. They were good. I loved it!
- and the main show, EMPAT MATA. The show was very funny! I enjoyed every moment of it. There were also Aming! I was so lucky I got to take picture with him (or her?).

Actually, I got a lot more to tell. But it's 4.19 AM now, I haven't had sleep and I need to help Chicha at 7.45 AM. So, I guess it's all for now. I'll add some pictures and maybe some words later. Cyao!
